A tolerance of 2sq.cm per fruit for superficial surface scarring that does not affect shelf life.

Quality Requirements:
1. Ripe and ready to eat with a break in the flesh on house intake.
2. Appearance and colour specific to variety:
Hass - Purple/Black and dull with ridged surface.
Fuerte - Bright green smooth and shiny.
3. Firm, with a sign of break.
4. No bruising or discolouration allowed.
5.Free from rots, shrivel, fungal or pest damage, or other type of deterioration.
6. Clean, no external moisture and no signs of visible foreign matter or residues. Free from foreign taste or smell.
7. Fruit suspected of having internal browning may be cut.
