Size: Minimum diameter measured at crown - 4cm.

Tolerance: 1. A tolerance of 3sq. cm per parsnip is allowed for superficial surface scarring and mechanical damage, and small areas of discolouration. 2. A tolerance of 10% is allowed for defects in shape and size.

Shelf Life: Date of despatch plus an in-house shelf life of 4 days. |
Quality Requirements: 1. Colour white to ivory, pale yellow. Dark yellow/brown not allowed. 2. To be firm, whole, clean and evenly graded. 3. Shape - long with minimal taper. Must not be forked or exhibit secondary roots. 4. Must be free from softening, mould, rots, pest damage or any other type of deterioration. 5. Free from abnormal external moisture with no signs of visible foreign matter or residues. Free from foreign taste or smell. 6. Minimal surface scarring or mechanical damage. 7. Leaves and root end to be trimmed neatly.
