Size:
Minimum diameter of stem 15mm (6"). The white stem must represent one third of total length.

Tolerance:
1. A tolerance of 10% per package is allowed for slight soiling to bulb and over trimming of roots, provided this has not lead to unravelling of the stem.
2. A 10% tolerance is allowed for defects in size.

Shelf Life:
Date of despatch plus an in-house shelf life of 4 days. |
Quality Requirements:
1. Class 1. White bulb with greenish tinge, mid to dark green leaf.
2. Stems should be firm, of close texture and clean. Roots to be trimmed to base.
3. Leaves must be fresh in appearance, intact and trimmed. No loose skin, splitting or running to seed.
4. Free from roots, fungal or pest damage, debris or any other type of deterioration.
5. No excess moisture or signs of visible foreign matter or residue. Free from foreign taste or smell.
