Size:
Roots should not be less than 50g. The difference in diameter or weight between the smallest and largest root in any pack, should not be more than 30mm or 200g.

Tolerance:
A tolerance of 10% is allowed for slight defects in size, shape, colouring or cracks not greater than half the length of the carrot.

Shelf Life:
Date of despatch plus an in-house shelf life of 4 days. |
Quality Requirements:
1. Class 1.
2. Colour bright orange in core and flesh with no purple or green discolouration.
3. Fresh in appearance and firm. No allowance for rotting or deterioration.
4. Clean and practically free from visible foreign material or residues, with no foreign smell or taste. Must be free from pests.
5. Shape cylindrical with minimum taper, roots not to be forked or exhibit secondary roots.
6. Must be free from abnormal excess moisture and foreign smell or taste.
