A tolerance of 10% is allowed for slight discolouration and soil to untrimmed outer leaves left for protection, provided this does not affect the shelf life or appearance of the product.

Date of despatch plus an in-house shelf life of 4 days. |
Quality Requirements:
1. Class 1.
2. Colour light to mid green heart, red/purple outer leaves.
3. Leaves must be thick and frilly, fresh in appearance and turgid.
4. Heads should be clean and trimmed at the base.
5. Free from brown rot, slime, discolouration, fungal or pest damage, pests or any other type of deterioration.
6. No excess external moisture or signs of visible foreign matter or residues. Free from foreign taste or smell.
