The Tomato price is very sporadic.
We have started on our local Celery now and it is coming into us direct from Ardleigh near Colchester.
Also our local Rockette from Colchester is very, very good and well priced.
Iceberg Lettuce has hit a slight problem the last few days due to the severe rain we have had hopefully this is only temporary.
Sweet Romano Peppers are readily available too and would make a pleasant change.
New season Dutch Fennel has now started but unfortunately does not have a very long shelf life this time of year.

South African Comice Pears have now finished.
Medium Pineapples are reasonably cheap at the moment and defiantly worth a try.
Both White and Black Grapes are not at their best at this time of year as we wait for the new season Spanish to start.
Spanish Cantaloupe Melons have become quite difficult to source and as a result the price has shot up recently.
Exotics:
Asparagus is up in price now that the English has now finished. This should continue to rise until the end of the month.
Mixed Wild Mushrooms are looking good and selling very well.
Fresh Girolles are a popular choice and are very reasonably priced too.
Don’t forget we also sell tinned Truffle Shavings, Truffle Oil, Vanilla Pods, Saffron and a very good selection of Dried Wild Mushrooms along with tinned Pitted Olives, Capers and Olive Oil.
