Cauliflowers have eased a little in price this week.
Broccoli price is due to rise as the Spanish season comes to an end.
Orange Flesh Sweet Potatoes are showing excellent quality.
Italian Broad Beans are a good alternative and are now easing in price.
Spanish Marrows are now more readily available.
Spanish and Italian Bunch Carrots are eating superbly.
Chilean Onions are rising in price as they become the only large onion available.
English Spinach should start to arrive in the market this week.
English Asparagus is still high in price but is worth all the money.
Jersey Potatoes are demanding a premium price.
New season Majorcan and Cyprus Potatoes are now available.
Cornish Spring Green is still very good.
We will have Italian Courgettes direct from Italy buy the end of the week.
 
Salad
 
Dutch new season Peppers have now started, the quality is excellent but the price is high.
New season Dutch Tomatoes are now being stocked.
Iceberg Lettuce has started to rise in price as the Spanish season ends.
Cos, Radicchio Lettuce, Bunched Rockette and Mixed Baby Leaf will be coming in direct from Italy.
English Spring Onion season is now in full swing.
French Water Cress is still coming through very good.
 
Fruit
 
Lemons are still very short in supply and the price remains high.
Charentais Melons still remain high in price.
New season Spanish Galia Melons have now started.
Plums are not at there best this time of year.
New season Peaches have started but are still very small and hard.
 
Exotics
 
Mix Wild Mushrooms are good this time of year.
Belgium Strawberries are still high in price but are very good quality.
Red Currents and Black Berries are still very high in price.
 
Warning  
 
The cold spring weather has put UK crops back 2 to 4 week so this could affect the price in time, also the poor value of the sterling against the Euro is not helping on the price front.
