History of The Fresh Food Group
The Fresh Food Group is part of the extended family of the Masstock group of companies, www.masstock.com whose operations over the past 30 years have grown across five continents as a major force in agribusiness.
Masstock took over Colchester Produce in May 2003, with a view to expanding its distribution business in the UK. With the introduction of an experienced Senior Management team from Masstock's operations, the procedures and operations of the existing Colchester Produce were refocused to maximise efficiency and ensure the very best possible service for our customers.
Further acquisitions included Readings of Braintree in March 2004 - a company with an impeccable reputation for service and quality in the fresh produce industry. The Fresh Food Group name was put into place in 2005 to encompass all the subsidiary businesses, and aid with a fresh corporate image that would accompany the new State of the Art warehouse and headquarters in Witham - that will ensure the company is equipped to provide class-leading service, value and quality to all our customers.
Our area covers the whole of East Anglia and into London. Deliveries are made six days a week via our own refrigerated fleet of specialist vehicles.
